More Polycom diagnostics on RMX

Polycom Level 3 Support wants to perform more diagnostics to determine if it is a power supply or chassis slot issue. The RMX is scheduled to be down from 3:00p – 7:15p on Monday, 2/13/2012 (there are no scheduled classes on the RMX after 2:45p on this date).

After the conference call, the replacement MPM-F card is still not initializing. The scheduled downtime ran over by about an hour (until about 4:05p). After extensive diagnostics and troubleshooting, the Polycom engineer has escalated the issue up to the next support level. After speaking with the vendor support engineer again, we have scheduled a conference call between us, the vendor support engineer, and a Polycom engineer to attempt the MPM-F card installation again. After replacing the faulty MPM-F card, the RMX could not initialize the new card on boot up. There is is an active alert on the RMX indicating that the MPM-F card in slot one is in a failed state. There is a second MPM-F card in the system which appears to be handling the load.
